I am originally from Indiana and currently live in Raleigh, NC with my beautiful wife Carlie and my wonderful dog Luna. (Both can be seen on this site!). I am a medic in the US Army and love to white water raft as much as possible when I am not painting or armying!

I mostly use acrylic paints focused on a variety of color, lighting, and texture to have a focused subject and an impressionistic environment.
I also do charcoal portraits to better capture a black and white image.
It's all about capturing a moment and an emotion.

I'm inspired by images and subjects that really tell a story , and convey a sense of depth. Dramatic lighting and reflections from water or glass are some of my favorite elements to include in a piece.
I also love painting dog photos! I mean who doesn't love pooch portraits?
